Project Overview
NoticeNinja is a cloud-based tax notice management platform that helps organizations automate, centralize, and streamline the processing of tax and compliance notices across federal, state, local, and international jurisdictions. Since its founding, the platform has managed more than 8 million tax and compliance notices for organizations across the United States and beyond.
Infynno Solutions LLP became the technology partner responsible for turning that vision into production reality - designing the architecture, building the product, implementing OCR and AI automation, engineering enterprise integrations, and continuing as a long-term product partner through multiple years of platform evolution.
The challenge they faced
Rebuilding a widely-used desktop compliance tool into a modern enterprise SaaS platform - while serving existing customers, processing millions of documents, and introducing advanced AI automation - required solving challenges across legacy migration, document processing, workflow complexity, scalability, integrations, and security.
Legacy Modernization Without Disruption
ANTS had an established user base with years of historical records and operational workflows. Migrating customers to a cloud-native platform while preserving their data, workflows, and continuity - without disruption - was the first and most sensitive challenge.
Document Processing at Scale Across Variable Formats
Tax notices arrive from thousands of agencies across every jurisdiction, each with different formats. Building an OCR engine that extracts structured data accurately from this volume and variability - and improves continuously as formats evolve - was the central engineering challenge.
Enterprise Workflow Complexity
Notice management spans tax notices, audits, amended returns, registrations, authorizations, mail distribution, refund checks, and account inquiries - each with distinct intake, assignment, resolution, and audit processes that must remain configurable and compliant.
Product Scalability Under Rapid Growth
Supporting millions of notice records, shipping frequent enhancements, maintaining platform stability during rapid client growth, and scaling infrastructure without performance degradation all had to happen simultaneously - not sequentially.
Enterprise Integration Ecosystem
Enterprise tax compliance teams rely on Salesforce, Microsoft 365, G-Suite, Zendesk, Twilio, Yardi, DocuSign, and more. NoticeNinja needed deep integrations with 13+ systems to fit into existing operations rather than replace them.
Security & Compliance Requirements
Handling sensitive tax and compliance data for enterprise organizations demanded role-based access controls, audit logging, secure API communication, access governance, and SOC 2 compliance - all designed in from the architecture level, not bolted on later.
How we solved it
Cloud-Native Microservices Architecture
We designed the platform on AWS with independent service deployment, isolated business domains, event-driven processing, and horizontal scalability - allowing services to scale under load and update without affecting platform stability.
Proprietary OCR & Intelligent Document Processing
We built a custom OCR engine that ingests notices from thousands of agencies, extracts structured fields from variable formats, classifies by type and jurisdiction, and routes into the appropriate workflow - improving accuracy with every document processed.
AI-Assisted Workflow Automation
Beyond OCR, we integrated AI-assisted processes that classify notices, identify responsible stakeholders, recommend workflows, reduce manual data entry, and improve operational consistency across compliance teams.
Configurable Workflow Engine
We engineered a comprehensive workflow system covering every notice type in the compliance lifecycle - tax notices, audits, amended returns, registrations, authorizations, mail distribution, refund checks, and account inquiries - each configurable per organization.
Event-Driven Processing for High-Volume Workloads
Using Redis, BullMQ, and AWS SQS, the platform handles intake spikes, bulk imports, and OCR queues asynchronously - with AWS Lambda handling serverless tasks without impacting the real-time user experience.
Enterprise Integration Platform
We built an open integration layer with REST APIs, webhooks, and purpose-built connectors for 13+ enterprise systems - enabling organizations to connect NoticeNinja to their existing compliance stack without disrupting established processes.
Bulk Operations & Data Migration
We built bulk tooling for account imports, user imports, workflow reassignment, closure automation, and data migration - enabling enterprise onboarding at scale and supporting ANTS customers migrating to the cloud with historical data intact.
Security & SOC 2 Compliance
The platform was designed with enterprise security as a first principle: role-based access controls, comprehensive audit logging, secure API communication, access governance, and data protection aligned with SOC 2 requirements.
Legacy Migration from ANTS
We engineered a structured migration pathway from the ANTS desktop application - preserving historical records, translating existing workflows, and onboarding customers without operational disruption.
