Project Overview
QuikHitch is a cross-platform intercity ridesharing mobile app built for the Canadian market, connecting drivers and passengers for affordable, eco-friendly travel between cities. Drivers post trips with flexible routes, pricing, and preferences. Passengers search available rides, book seats, pay securely, and coordinate with drivers in real time.
The app supports the full ride lifecycle - from discovery and booking to in-trip chat, payments, driver payouts, and post-ride ratings - across both iOS and Android from a single React Native and Expo codebase. QuikHitch is a two-sided marketplace: drivers monetize empty seats on journeys they're already making, while passengers get a cheaper, greener alternative to solo driving or traditional transit. Infynno Solutions designed and built the complete product - including Stripe payments, driver bank payouts, real-time chat via Socket.io, Firebase push notifications, multi-stop routing, and a full booking lifecycle with charge-on-accept payment orchestration.
The challenge they faced
Building a two-sided ridesharing marketplace is one of the most technically demanding categories of mobile product. QuikHitch required solving six interconnected challenges simultaneously - each one critical to making drivers and passengers trust the platform with their money, safety, and time.

Charge-on-Accept Payment Flow
Stripe tokenization at request; charge only on driver accept with recoverable failure handling. Cash supported.
Real-Time Chat with Socket.io
JWT-authenticated chat with read receipts, reconnect, and in-chat approve/reject for bookings.
Driver Payout Dashboard
WebView Stripe bank verification with payout history, weekly breakdowns, and 0% platform fee in the UI.
Multi-Stop Routing & Smart Search
Google Places for stops, distance-based pricing helpers, and timezone-aware scheduling across provinces.
Promo, Trust & Attribution Systems
